What innovative solutions can we develop to attract young talent to Nestlé factories while focusing on creating a workplace that fosters growth and development?

🎯 Challenge Objective:

As Generation Z enters the workforce, they bring unique values, expectations, and digital skills. Nestlé aims to explore what factors will attract young talented individuals to work in our factories in the Central European (CE) region while offering opportunities for career advancement. This idea challenge focuses on creating innovative solutions that resonate with the preferences of this demographic and are feasible for implementation.

Nestlé in Central Europe produces a variety of products across 14 different factories located in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. We produce a broad spectrum of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), including confectionery, water, pet care, family nutrition, culinary products, and coffee. Our digital roadmap includes leveraging AI and Copilot solutions to enhance productivity, improve quality and safety, optimize costs, and leverage predictive analytics to increase asset reliability.

In this challenge, participants are tasked with developing innovative solutions to attract and retain young talent to Nestlé factories. They will choose between two main tasks:
Attracting Young Professionals to Nestlé Factories: Strategies to enhance the appeal of Nestlé factories as career destinations for young professionals. How can we improve the working environment to effectively engage and attract them?
Retaining Young Talent: Improvements to the work environment aimed at retaining young employees. How can technology and digital tools enhance factory working experience?

We are looking for innovative ideas - the sky is the limit!

 

🏆 Challenge Reward:

  • An exclusive opportunity to participate in an Inspiration Talk and meet with our CEO, Michiel Kernkamp!
  • An immersive "Day in the Life" experience at a Nestlé Factory and get to network with the leadership team!
    A selection of Nestlé products!
  • All pitching finalists will receive formal recognition for their participation in the form of an official digital certificate.

How can we, as Nestlé, communicate to Gen Z about our sustainability efforts in Switzerland?

(exclusive event for Swiss Based youth)

🎯 Challenge Objective:

For this idea challenge, we want to explore how we can communicate on the sustainability efforts being made in Switzerland to Gen Z, in particular. We would like to focus on engaging the younger generation through various channels (such as social media, events, music & arts) and explore the gaps in the current communication landscape. With this challenge we are looking for innovative approaches to connect with young people on our sustainability journey along the Nestlé value chain. 

We are looking for innovative ideas - the sky is the limit!

 

🏆 Challenge Reward:

  • Financial reward totaling CHF10,000 to be shared between the top 3 winning submissions.
  • Mentorship and networking with industry experts from Nestlé.
  • Invitation to participate in an on-site Nestlé location for the final pitching session.
  • All pitching finalists will receive formal recognition for their participation in the form of an official digital certificate.

 

✅Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must accept the terms and conditions linked to the challenge
  • Applicants can apply with a team member or as individuals
  • Applicants should be enrolled at a Swiss University or living in Switzerland
  • Applicants should be under the age of 30.

🎯 Challenge Objective: 

The Nestlé Group contest "Il Buono Che Ti Premia" began in 2016 to celebrate Nestlé's 150 years in Italy. Each year, the contest aims to strengthen brand association with Nestlé's corporate identity and stimulate consumer interest and participation by offering appealing prizes. This initiative works by featuring dedicated spaces and extra displays in supermarkets across the country. After 10 years, it has become a recognized event for both trade and shoppers. The success of the initiative is attributed to the clarity and ease of participation, along with the attractiveness of the prizes offered.

 

We are looking for new ways to amplify this yearly contest and bring even more impact to Italian households. Your task is to come up with innovative ideas on how "Il Buono Che Ti Premia" can be more impactful than ever. You will work with a fictional budget of EUR 140,000 to bring your ideas to life. Share your best proposals to participate in this amazing challenge!

  • Pitching of projects in front of leadership teams and HR
  • Mentorship sessions to prepare for the main pitching event
