Nestlé x UNESCO: Youth Impact - Because You Matter

YOUTH IMPACT – BECAUSE YOU MATTER – For Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action is an initiative led by UNESCO in collaboration with Nestlé, powered by the Nestlé Youth Entrepreneurship Platform. It seeks to support young people to help their communities through climate action and environmental sustainability initiatives, by providing them with resources and skills necessary to implement their innovative projects.

To this end, 100 project leaders will be selected worldwide to receive:

🏆 Grant of USD 8,500 each, and
🎓 Training and one-to-one mentorship, throughout their project implementation.

Regenerative agriculture plays a critical role in improving soil health, restoring water cycles and increasing biodiversity for the long term. Taking a farmer-centric approach, we are piloting and scaling new technologies and nature-based solutions to tackle this challenge.

PLANT-BASED PRODUCTS

We are transforming our portfolio to include more plant-based meat and dairy alternatives that are both healthy and delicious. These products reduce emissions across the value chain, driving us towards a more sustainable food system.

PACKAGING AND CIRCULARITY

We are changing the way we think about the value chain from a linear path to a circular one. Through advanced packaging R&D and key partnerships, we are working towards our commitment for all of our packaging to be recyclable or reusable by 2025.

AFFORDABLE NUTRITION

Making affordable, nutritious and tasty food accessible to everyone is a priority for Nestlé. We leverage our R&D expertise to develop food innovations that cost less without sacrificing nutrition or taste, so that lower-income families can afford to nourish themselves.
